Ivan Ferreiro presents his first Christmas carol

popes80

After the enigmatic and hilarious previous campaign, Ivan Ferreiro has presented its own tribute to Christmas with a unique version of the iconic Christmas carol Fairytale of New York from The Pogues, from 1987. In this new interpretation, the singer from Vigo has counted on the collaboration of the singer Guadi Galego, who lends her voice to the duet that has become one of the most anticipated releases of the Christmas season.

Iván Ferreiro's version brings a new layer of sensitivity and depth to the classic, maintaining its essence but imbuing it with the artist's personal touch. Artists such as Pablo López, Leiva, Rozalén, Mikel Erentxun and Vega have joined this Christmas project by Iván Ferreiro, also giving rise to a historic music video. "It was lovely to see how each one took ownership of their place in the song and interpreted it with such generosity," the artist confessed, also revealing that the Irish touch of the song has a lot to do with his Galician roots.

«The song is about two Irish immigrants in New York and our version of two Galicians in Madrid, although they could just as easily be from anywhere else», says the artist in a statement: «Thank you Guadi Galego, Pablo López, Rozalén, Leiva, Mikel Erentxun, Xosé Manuel Budiño, Amaro Ferreiro, Vega, Angie Sánchez, Santi Balmes, Julián Saldariaga, Edurne Arizu, Ricky Falkner, Ferrán Pontón, David Bonilla, José María Rosillo, Santos Berrocal, Noa García, the entire team at Studio 1 and Joseph Ross and the Smart Factory World team for making this dream come true. Being able to record this song surrounded by so many friends is one of the greatest gifts of my life».

In his vision, the holiday is filled with new and fun nuances, where emotion, collaboration and the Christmas spirit intertwine to offer something fresh and original. Discover below the carol, which he has titled Fairy tale in Madrid:
