Christmas wasn't crazy enough, maybe that's why Leticia Sabater has returned with another Christmas carol that promises to haunt our heads during the holidays. After gems like The Powder Room, the queen of kitsch (ahem) has decided that the world cannot spend another Christmas without hearing the epic story of a crustacean named Rufino.
The Rufino prawn, described by Leticia herself as an homage to Christmas seafood, has everything you could expect: tropical rhythms that would make Santa Claus sweat, choreography taken straight from a strange dream (or nightmare, depending on who you ask) and, of course, a music video full of glitter, lobster antennae and a waste of special effects… of the budget that was there.
In the video clip, Leticia transforms into a marine muse, wearing a Christmas outfit that defies all the laws of good taste, while she sings to us about the adventures of Rufino, a prawn with attitude, flow and a destiny marked by the pink sauce of the family dinner. Let's get one thing straight: Rufino is innocent.

On social media, the public is divided: some declare themselves unconditional fans of Sabater and claim that The Rufino prawn is the masterpiece we didn't know we needed. Others, meanwhile, are trying to find ways to block it from Spotify before it reaches their playlists.
One thing is clear: whether you like it or not, you're going to end up humming it while you're putting the tinsel on the tree. So, this year, when you open the fridge and see that tray of prawns, remember that Rufino is there with you, ready to star in an unforgettable (or at least, very strange) Christmas.
You can see it below (this is a warning note):
